FAQ

Questions, answered gently

Everything here is meant to help you feel oriented and safe before you ever reach out. If your question is not answered below, you are always welcome to ask directly.

General

This space is for the ones who feel lost, stuck, or quietly tired of waging war on themselves. For people who sense there is something deeper underneath their patterns and want a warm, grounded, nonclinical space to explore it. You do not need to be in crisis to come here, and you do not need to have it all figured out. You only need a willingness to meet yourself honestly, at your own pace.

If what you are looking for is clinical care, diagnosis, or treatment, this is not the right space for that, and I will always be honest with you about it.

Ahimsa is the yogic vow of non harm. Here it becomes something personal. It is the vow that says: the war ends here. The war with your body, your story, your tenderness, yourself. Ahimsa Healz is a space built around that vow, because healed people help heal this world.

Yes, it’s most of what I work with. Self sabotage isn’t a character flaw or a willpower problem, and understanding it was never the part that was missing. We look at where the pattern started, what it’s been protecting you from, and what it needs now, and we build tools you can actually reach for when it rises.

550 hours of yoga training, in two parts. A 250 hour foundation at MokSana Yoga, and 300 hours of advanced yoga therapeutics at Ajna Yoga, which is where I learned to hold trauma without doing harm, to work with a nervous system instead of against it, and to let the body speak when the mind still cannot explain itself.

The rest I taught myself. I have been reading cards and charts professionally since 2020, I read the chakra system as psychology rather than energy, and I went deep into the science of the nervous system and self sabotage because I needed it to make sense of my own. My training also includes polyvagal theory, through The Embody Lab’s Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy certification program, and I keep adding to it. Healing and the science behind it never stop growing, and neither do I.

None of that makes me a therapist, and I will always say so plainly.

A Soul Clarity Call is a free, unhurried conversation, and it is open now. We talk about where you are, what you are longing for, and what kind of support would actually serve you. There is no script, no pressure, and no obligation. If this work is not the right fit, I will say so honestly. There is nothing to prepare. You just come as you are.

In person sessions happen in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Online sessions and recorded readings are available wherever you are in the world. All you need is a quiet space and an internet connection.

Start wherever feels gentle. You can explore Ways to Work With Me to see the sessions and readings, read about The Space to feel into the container, or simply reach out with a question. There is no wrong door.

Scope of Practice

No. Ahimsa Healz is a nonclinical, trauma informed, spiritually grounded facilitation space. I am not a licensed therapist, psychologist, doctor, counselor, or clinical provider, and this work does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent mental health conditions, substance use disorders, trauma disorders, eating disorders, or medical conditions.

What this work offers is self inquiry, emotional reflection, nervous system informed support, spiritual exploration, embodiment, and personal growth. It can be a beautiful companion to clinical care, but it is never a substitute for it.

Yes, and many people do. This work sits alongside care from licensed professionals rather than replacing it. If you are working with a therapist, psychiatrist, doctor, or other provider, I encourage you to keep those supports in place. The two can complement each other beautifully.

What this work is not says nothing about who is welcome in it. Addictive patterns or an addiction, alcoholism, an eating disorder, self sabotage in any of its shapes, a trauma history, a diagnosis, a situation you cannot see your way out of, or something you have never said out loud to anyone. You are welcome here, and you are not too much to sit with. I do not turn people away for what they are living with.

If you are in treatment, a program, or recovery of any kind, this sits alongside that, never in place of it, and I will always encourage you to keep it.

I will tell you, gently and honestly. If something arises that appears to need clinical care, I may recommend that you seek support from a licensed therapist, doctor, psychiatrist, addiction specialist, crisis service, dietitian, or another appropriate professional. This is not rejection. It is ethical care, and it is part of how I hold this space responsibly. You can read more on the Scope, Privacy and Safety page.

In Person Sessions

Everything happens in Grand Rapids. Body based sessions are at Moon Mama Shop inside Endcap Market and Studios, Suite 206, 359 Division Ave S.

Readings happen there too, and some can be booked with me at The 12th House GR instead, shadow work or traditional. You can also catch me at The 12th House for walk in readings, which need no appointment at all. You just come by. Every offering page lists where that one happens.

In person works by request rather than instant booking. You send a request from the offering you want, with the days and times that suit you. I check the space at Moon Mama, reach out to confirm a time with you, and once it is set I send you a link to hold your spot with a small deposit.

If you would rather talk it through first, a free Soul Clarity Call is open now.

Two things, and neither is a test. Everyone signs a consent and agreement before a first session, which covers what this work is, what it is not, and the payment and cancellation terms.

Before any body based session you also fill out a short health and readiness form. It asks whether you are or might be pregnant, about heart conditions and blood pressure, pacemakers or implanted devices, epilepsy or a history of seizures, recent injury or surgery, chronic pain or anything affecting how you move, skin or heat sensitivity, and medications that change what you feel. It exists so we can adjust, go slower, or simply leave something out.

Readings have none of this, and online work has none of it either.

Moon Mama is on the second floor of Endcap Market and Studios, and the building has both stairs and an elevator, so you can take whichever works for your body that day. Group offerings happen one floor up, in the event space on the third floor, and the elevator reaches that too. If there is anything you need me to check or arrange before you come, ask me and I will.

Not unless you say yes, out loud, in the moment. If I ever feel that touch could serve what we are doing, I will ask you first, every time, and no is a complete answer that costs you nothing. Nothing happens in our sessions without your say so.

Sometimes, and I will tell you plainly if so. Nothing on that form is a reason to turn you away. If you have a pacemaker we skip the warming mat and the work is still good. If something genuinely needs your doctor’s word before we begin, I will say so and wait, because that is not me being careful with myself, it is me being careful with you.

Yes, and they are the cheapest and gentlest way to meet me.

Sol Day Collective is a slow Sunday morning to pour back into yourself: gathered by a tarot reading, carried by yoga flow into sound healing, and sent home with a crystal of your own. $30, or $20 your first time.

The Unraveling Room is a soft circle for loosening what is tight and being witnessed, exactly as you are. $22.

Both are in Grand Rapids, both are about 90 minutes, and both are gathering their first lists now.

A warm welcome, a soft landing, and no pressure to perform. We begin with a grounded check in, and from there it follows what your system actually needs that day. Everything is invitational. You choose what you share, what you explore, and what you decline.

For a body based session, wear whatever you can move and breathe in, and bring water. A reading is a conversation, so come however you are comfortable. Either way, arrive a few minutes early if you can, so you are not walking in out of breath.

Not at all. Nothing here requires experience, flexibility, or any particular belief system. Every practice is offered in plain language, adapted to your body, and always optional.

Online Sessions and Readings

Live online sessions happen on Zoom, and everything you need arrives in your confirmation once you book. All you need is a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely, and maybe a cup of tea and a journal nearby.

One thing worth knowing before we begin rather than during: I keep Zoom’s notetaker on, so I can stay fully present with you instead of taking notes, and so I can pick back up with care if we ever meet again. It stays private between us. Your Remembering Session recording is also sent to you to keep, since it is deep work you will want to return to.

A live session happens in real time, with both of us present together on a video call. A recorded Deep Dive reading is created privately for you after you complete an intake form, then sent to you as a recording you can keep, pause, revisit, and integrate slowly, in your own time.

We start with your question, or with whatever you arrive carrying if you do not have one yet. The cards and the chart are read as a mirror for your patterns and your season, and I tell you what I see plainly, including the parts that are harder to hear. You stay the authority on your own life the whole way through, and nothing I say is ever something you have to take.

Deeper Support Containers

They are not open yet. This is the deepest, most devoted work I offer, whole seasons of ongoing support rather than single sessions, and it is quietly being built while I pour into the in person and online work first.

When it opens there will be three pathways: one support touchpoint a month, a steadier monthly rhythm of a recorded reading and a live session, and a structured intensive for a season of real depth. All three will include the Integration Library.

If you already feel called toward something deeper and ongoing, reach out and I will hold you close in mind for the moment the doors open.

Because they are relational commitments, not products on a shelf. When they open, pricing, pacing and fit will be talked through together on a call, so the conversation can be honest and human rather than transactional.

Integration Library

The Integration Library is a private, login protected library of practices, reflections, audio, and video created to support you between sessions. It is organized into gentle pathways like Grounding, Emotional Healing, Self Discovery, and Brain and Rewiring, plus a Gentle Return pathway for moments when you need a soft place to land. It is being built right now, and it is meant to keep growing, with you and for you: alongside the shared pathways there will be a personal section, gathered for the season you are actually in.

It is not open yet. I am still building it to the point where I know it can hold someone properly, because I would rather hand you something solid than something half filled.

When it opens, my plan is to make it available to anyone at an affordable monthly cost, and to keep adding to it as the work grows.

Please keep your login to yourself. Each account is individual and private, and parts of your library may be personalized just for you. Protecting that privacy protects the intimacy of the work.

Payment and Scheduling

Online sessions and live readings are paid when you book, by card, and your payment holds your time.

In person works differently. You send a request, I confirm a time with you, and then I send a link to hold your spot with a small deposit. The rest is due the day of your session, in person, by cash, Venmo, CashApp or Apple Cash, since I am not able to take cards in the room.

Recorded Deep Dive Readings are not charged up front at all. You fill out the intake, I read it myself to be sure I can hold it well for you, and then I send your payment link. Pricing is listed openly on every offering page.

Life happens, and this space holds room for that. For an in person session, text me at least 24 hours before your time and everything you paid carries to a new one. With less than 24 hours, or if you do not come and I do not hear from you, the deposit stays with me for the time I set aside, and anything you paid beyond it still carries forward.

Online sessions you can move yourself, whenever you need to, even at the last minute.

Nothing you pay me is refundable, and nothing you pay me is lost either. It moves with you, good for three months. Real emergencies are always met with compassion, and because I honor my own time too, that grace is offered up to two times.

In person is a request rather than a calendar, so give it a few days rather than hoping for tomorrow. Online you can take any open time on my calendar, and a week or two ahead is a gentle rule of thumb.

Recorded Deep Dive Readings keep their own rhythm. Yours arrives within 5 to 7 business days once your payment clears. When a live reading is recorded for you, that recording comes within 2 business days.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Yes. What you share with me, in sessions, readings, intake forms and messages, is held privately and with deep care. I do not share your story, your participation in this work, or your details with anyone.

Two limits worth naming plainly. Because I am not a licensed clinical provider, what we share does not carry legal therapist client privilege. I am also not a mandated reporter, so nothing you tell me gets passed along to anyone.

The only thing I would not sit quietly with is your life being in danger. If I were ever that worried about you, I would tell you I was worried, and I would help you reach someone who can help. With you, not behind your back. The full picture is on the Scope, Privacy and Safety page.

Form submissions come directly and privately to me. They are stored securely and used only to respond to you and to support our work together. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. The full details live in the Privacy Policy.

No. Your participation in this work is private. Client accounts are individual and siloed, and I do not share who I work with.

Crisis and Emergency

Please reach for immediate support first. Ahimsa Healz is not an emergency or crisis support service, and I am not able to respond quickly enough to hold you safely in a crisis moment.

If you are in immediate danger or at risk of harming yourself or someone else, please contact emergency services right away. In the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any hour, any day. Outside the United States, please reach your local emergency number or crisis line.

You deserve immediate, skilled care in those moments. When the ground is steadier, this space will still be here.

You can always write to me, and I answer warmly, but slowly. This is not monitored around the clock and it is never a substitute for crisis care. The deeper work still being built will include steadier messaging support when it opens. If something urgent is happening, please contact emergency services or a crisis line first.

Because crisis moments deserve immediate, around the clock, clinically trained care, and that is not what a nonclinical facilitation space can ethically offer. Holding that boundary clearly is one of the ways I keep this work safe and honest. It is care, not distance.

Still wondering something?

No question is too small or too tender. Write to me and I will answer with care.
