Scope and safety
What this work is,
and where its edges are
Everything here is the honest fine print, said plainly.
What this work is and isn't, how what you share is held, where my work ends
and someone else’s begins, and what to do if you're ever in real danger.
If you have't yet read how I actually work,
that's the warmer half of the same conversation.

Scope and ethics
What this work is and
what it's not
What this work is, and what it's not
Ahimsa Healz is a nonclinical, trauma informed, spiritually grounded facilitation space. I am not a licensed therapist, psychologist, doctor, counselor, or clinical provider. Naming that clearly is part of how this space stays safe.
What this work is
- Self inquiry and emotional reflection
- Nervous system informed, body based support
- Meaning, purpose, and soul remembrance
- Embodiment, grounding, and integration practices
- Education, witnessing, and personal growth support
What this work is not
- Therapy, counseling, or psychological treatment
- Medical, psychiatric, or addiction care
- Diagnosis of any condition, ever
- Crisis or emergency support
- A substitute for licensed clinical care
I'm not a licensed therapist, psychologist, doctor, counselor, or clinical provider. Naming that clearly is part of how this space stays safe.
None of my work asks you to hold a particular belief. Whatever you believe, whether that's a religion you practice, something you're still working out, or nothing at all, it's welcome here and it stays yours. I'm not here to hand you a worldview.
This work does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent mental health conditions, substance use disorders, trauma disorders, eating disorders, or medical conditions.
None of it asks you to hold a particular belief. Whatever you believe, whether that is a religion you practise, something you are still working out, or nothing at all, it is welcome here and it stays yours. I am not here to hand you a worldview.

Who is welcome here
That list above says what this work is, but it says nothing about who's welcome in it. Addictive patterns or an addiction, alcoholism, an eating disorder, self sabotage in any of its shapes, a trauma history, a diagnosis, a situation you can't see your way out of, or something you've never said out loud to anyone. You are welcome here, and you are not too much to sit with. I do not turn people away for what they're living with.
If you're in treatment, a program, or recovery of any kind, this sits alongside that, never in place of it, and I'll always encourage you to keep it. If you don’t have that support and you need it, I will say so kindly, and help you look.
And because this work is personal and led by you, no particular outcome or breakthrough can be promised. What I can promise is that you'll be met honestly, every time.

Health, readiness, and
who this is for
Health, readiness, and who this is for
Health, readiness, and who this is for
Breath and movement are real physical things, and a few of them need a conversation first. Before any in person body based session, you fill out a short health and readiness form. It asks whether you are or might be pregnant, about heart conditions and blood pressure, pacemakers or implanted devices, epilepsy or a history of seizures, recent injury or surgery, chronic pain or anything affecting how you move, skin or heat sensitivity, and medications that change what you feel.
None of it is a test and none of it is a reason to turn you away. It exists so we can adjust, go slower, or simply leave something out. If you have a pacemaker we skip the warming mat and the work is still good. If something genuinely needs your doctor’s word before we begin, I'll tell you plainly and wait, because that's not me being careful with myself, it's me being careful with you.
Online work has none of this, and readings have none of it either. There's nothing to screen for in a conversation.
And if something big opens up while we're working together, what happens next is yours to pick. You can stay in it with me, witnessed and held while you move through it, and then we build tools around it. Or you can carry it straight to your therapist and let that room hold it instead.

Confidentiality and its limits
Confidentiality and its limits
What you share with me, in sessions, readings, intake forms, and messages, is held privately and with deep care. I do not share your story, your participation in this work, or your personal details with others. Client accounts and libraries are individual and fully siloed.
Because I'm not a licensed clinical provider, I'm also not a mandated reporter, so nothing you tell me gets passed along to anyone.
The only thing I wouldn't sit quietly with is your life being in danger. If I were ever that worried about you, I'd tell you I was worried, and I'd help you reach someone who can help. With you, and not behind your back.
If something arises that sits outside the scope of this work, I may recommend you seek support from a licensed therapist, doctor, psychiatrist, addiction specialist, crisis service, dietitian, or another appropriate professional. That's not rejection. It's ethical care, and knowing where my work ends is part of doing it well.

One limit worth naming plainly. Because I am not a licensed clinical provider, what we share does not carry legal therapist client privilege. I am also not a mandated reporter, so nothing you tell me gets passed along to anyone.

Crisis and emergency boundaries
Ahimsa Healz is not an emergency or crisis support service. I am not available around the clock, and this work isn't built to hold moments of acute danger. That boundary isn't distance. It is care, because crisis moments deserve immediate, skilled support.
If you are in immediate danger, at risk of harming yourself or someone else, experiencing a medical emergency, or needing urgent mental health support, please contact emergency services right away. In the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any hour, any day. Outside the United States, please reach your local emergency number or crisis line.
When the ground beneath you is steadier, this space will still be here, and you will still be welcome.
